Biography and Career

George Zimmer was born in New York. In 1970, he graduated from Washington University with an A.B. in Economics. Before joining his father in the clothing manufacturing business he used to work as a substitute teacher. Later in the early 1970s, he also worked as a purchasing agent and salesman in Hong Kong.
