Fritz Lang (1890-1976) was an Austrian film director, born in Vienna.

Short Biography:

His German films include Metropolis in 1927, M in 1931, and the series of Dr. Mabuse films, after which he fled from the Nazis to Hollywood in 1936.

His American films include Fury in 1936, You Only Live Once in 1937, and The Big Heat in 1953.
