Frederick Austerlitz (1899-1987) was an American dancer, actor, singer, and choreographer, who starred in numerous films, including "Top Hat" in 1935, "Easter Parade" in 1948, and "Funny Face" in 1957, many of which contained inventive sequences he designed himself.

He made ten classic films with the most popular of his dancing partners, Ginger Rogers.
He later played straight dramatic roles, in films such as "On the Beach" in 1959.
