Franz von Papen (1879-1969) was chancellor in 1932, he negotiated the Nazi-Conservative alliance that made Hitler chancellor in 1933.

Short Biography:

He was envoy to Austria (1934-1938) and ambassador to Turkey (1939-1944).

Although acquitted at the Nuremberg war-crimes trials, he was imprisoned by a German denazification court for three years.
