Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald (1896-1940) was an American writer and novelist.

Short Biography:

His autobiographical novel This Side of Paradise in 1920 made him known in the postwar society of the East Coast, and The Great Gatsby in 1925 epitomizes the Jazz Age.

His wife Zelda's descent into mental illness forms the subject of Tender is the Night in 1934.

Fitzgerald was born in Minnesota. His first book, This Side of Paradise, reflected his experiences at Princeton University.
