Emmanuelle Seigner was born in 1966 in Paris. Her grandparents were associated with theatres and her mother is a journalist, while her father is a photographer.
In 1984, Emmanuelle acted in the movie Year of the Jellyfish. After that she got offers for the movies Detective (1985) by Jean-Luc Godard. In 1986, she was cast in the movie Cours Prive.
