Elizabeth Ray (born Betty Lou Ray) was born on 14 May 1943 in Marshall, North Carolina and she is a famous person because she was the central figure in a much publicized sex scandal in 1976 with the U.S. Rep. Wayne Hays. Wayne Hays from Ohio finished his career because of this scandal.
