Edward Morgan Forster (1879-1970) was a English novelist, concerned with the interplay of personality and the conflict between convention and instinct.

Short Biography:

His novels include A Room with a View in 1908, Howards End in 1910, and A Passage to India in 1924.

He also wrote short stories, for example 'The Eternal Omnibus' in 1914; criticism, including Aspects of the Novel in 1927; and essays, including Abinger Harvest in 1936.
