Constantinos Karamanlis (1907-1998) was a Greek politician of the New Democracy Party.
Short Biography:
A lawyer and an anti-communist, he was prime minister (October 1955-March 1958, May 1958-September 1961), and (November 1961-June 1963), when he went into self-imposed exile. He was recalled as prime minister on the fall of the regime of the "colonels" in July 1974, and was president (1980-1985).
