Prince Bernhard von Bulow (1849-1929) was a German diplomat and politician.

Short Biography:

He was chancellor of the German Empire 1900-1909 under Kaiser Wilhelm II and, holding that self-interest was the only rule for any state, adopted attitudes to France and Russia which unintentionally reinforced the trend towards opposing European power groups: the Triple Entente (Britain, France, Russia) and Triple Alliance (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italy).
