Alvar Aalto (Hugo Alvar Henrik Aalto) was born on February 3rd, 1898 in Finland and died on May 11, 1976, in Helsinki. He was a famous Finnish architect and designer.

One of Finland's first modernists, his architectural style was unique, characterized by asymmetry, curved walls, and contrast of natural materials.
