Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson (1809-1892) works include "The Lady of Shalott", "The Lotus Eaters", "Ulysses", "Break, Break, Break", "The Charge of the Light Brigade"; the longer narratives Locksley Hall in 1832, and Maud in 1855; the elegy In Memoriam in 1850; and a long series of poems on the Arthurian legends The Idylls of the King 1857-1885.
