Upton Sinclair (1878-1968) concern for social reforms is reflected in The Jungle 1906, which exposed the horrors of the Chicago stockyards and led to a change in food-processing laws, Boston in 1928, and his Lanny Budd series 1940-1953, including Dragons Teem in 1942, which won a Pulitzer Prize.
