Poul Holmskov Schluter (born in 1929) is a Danish right-wing politician, leader of the Conservative People's Party (KF) from 1974 and prime minister from 1982 to 1993.

Short Biography:

Having joined the KF in his youth, he trained as a lawyer and then entered the Danish parliament (Folketing) in 1964. His centre-right coalition survived the 1987 election and was reconstituted, with Liberal support, in 1988.
