Otto Eduard Leopold Bismarck, Prince von Bismarck (1815-1898) was a German politician, prime minister of Prussia (1862-1890) and chancellor of the German Empire (1871-1890).

Short Biography:

He pursued an aggressively expansionist policy, with wars against Denmark (1863-1864), Austria in 1866, and France (1870-1871), which brought about the unification of Germany.

Hismarck was ambitious to establish Prussia's hegemony inside Germany and eliminate the influence of Austria.
