Neil Kinnock (born in 1942) is a British Labour politician, party leader from 1983.
Short Biography:
Bora and educated in Wales, he was elected to represent a Welsh constituency in Parliament in 1970 (Islwyn from 1983).
A noted orator, he was further left than prime ministers Wilson and Callaghan, but as party leader (in succession to Michael Foot) adopted a more moderate position, initiating a major policy review (1988-1989).
