Margaret Mitchell was born on November 8, 1900 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA as daughter of Eugene Muse Mitchell and Maybelle Mitchell. She is an American author who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937.

Biography and Career :

Her father, a lawyer from Atlanta, was for many years the president of History Society in Georgia's capital. Her mother was descendent of a wealthy family.

From the beginning of her childhood she was fascinated of stories about the Civil War.
