Karl May (full name Karl Friedrich May) was born on February 25, 1842 in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Kingdom of Saxony, Germany. He is the best German writer of all time.

Biography and Career :

The family had 14 children but 9 of them died before they were one year old. Except Karl, survived only four girls.
