Assumed name of Sean O'Fearn (1895-1973) was an American film director.

Short Biography:

His films, especially his westerns, were of great influence, and include Stagecoach in 1939, The Grapes of Wrath in 1940, and The Man who Shot Liberty Valance in 1962.

Ford made many silent films, including The Iron Horse in 1924 and Four Sons in 1928.

After the introduction of sound, he went on to make films such as The Informer in 1935, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon in 1949, and The Quiet Man in 1 read more...
