Jack William Nicklaus (born in 1940) won a record 20 major titles, including 18 professional "majors" (1962-1986).

Short Biography:

Born in Columbus, Ohio. He played for the US Ryder Cup team six times (1969-1981) and was nonplaying captain in 1983 and 1987 when the event was played over the course he designed at Muirfield Village, Ohio.

He was voted the "Golfer of the Century" in 1988. His son Jacky, jr, is also a professional golfer.
