Gordie Howe (born in 1926) is a former Canadian ice-hockey player who played for the Detroit Red Wings (National Hockey League) (1946-1971) and the New England Whalers (World Hockey Association).

In the NHL, he scored more goals (801), assists (1,049), and points (1,850) than any other player in ice-hockey history. He played professional hockey until over 50.
