August Strindberg (full name Johan August Strindberg) was born on January 22, 1849 in Stockholm, Sweden. He was a famous Swedish writer, playwright, and painter.

Biography and Career :

After he graduated High school in Stockholm in 1867 he became medicine student in the University of Uppsala but he quitted after three years.

In 1869 he began his career as a playwright and wrote two dramas "Hermione" and "Helada's Collapse" the last one is rewarded by the Swedish Academy.
