Kate Capshaw (full name Kathleen Sue Nail) was born on November 3, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a graduate in education from Missouri State University. She was a high school teacher in the beginning of her career. In January 1976, she got married to Robert Capshaw. After that, Kate embarked in an acting career.
She relocated to New York and, in 1982, appeared in the movie "A Little Sex" and in "Missing Children: A Mother's Story".
