Carl Maria Friedrich Ernst von Weber (1786-1826) established the Romantic school of opera with Der Freischutz in 1821 and Euryanthe in 1823.

Short Biography:

He was Kapellmeister at Breslau 1804-1806, Prague 1813-1816, and Dresden in 1816. He died during a visit to London where he produced his opera Oberon in 1826, written for the Covent Garden theatre.
