Jim Carrey was born on 17th January 1962 in New Market, Ontario. His parents were Kathleen and Percy Carrey. While Kathleen was a homemaker, Percy had his profession in music and accounts.

John, Patricia and Rita are his elder siblings. His family was a Catholic and belonged to the French Canadian Origin. Carrey’s schooling was not consistent as he changed a few schools resulting into spending 3 years in grade 10.
