CorneliOS is a web based desktop environment, operating system and web office that runs as platform independent and is available freely under the GNU General Public License. Useful features of CorneliOS include:
- Supports a multi-user system with which each user can have their own home directory, desktop and workspace.
- Provides a secure file system called Virtual File System (VFS) which includes features like automatic backups, access control etc.
- Provides a CMS and a database management platform on which users can develop their own websites to serve to the internet.
- It can be used independent of any platform. The applications are served to users anywhere from CorneliOS server.
