This is the official website of California Environmental Resources Evaluation System or CERES. It is a program initiated by California Resource Agency with the aim of providing access to “a variety of electronic data describing California's rich and diverse environments.” CERES integrates a number of solutions including Information Clearinghouse, GeoSpatial Data Library, Digital Atlas, GeoFinder, Environmental Education, LUPIN, CEQA Web, California Watershed Portal, California Wetlands Information System and Cal OCEAN. The program focuses on:
- Development of new software and network structure to work with large amount of data.
- Digitize large volumes of data and evaluate existing ones.
- Promote increase of new contributors and users through affiliations.
