Whitney Houston's New Album Due on September 1

Friday, June 5 2009

by Joe Halls

Grammy-Award winning singer Whitney Houston will be releasing her seventh studio album on September 1 after 7 years of hiatus.

The album is reportedly entitled Undefeated which will feature a song written by Diane Warren, 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength.' Photographer Patrick Demarchelier, who recently shot some promotional photos for the music legend, said, "She was so full of life and energy. She moved well and was in such great spirits."

Producers and songwriters include will.i.am, Sean Garrett and Akon. In retrospect, Akon talked about Houston in 2007 saying, "The voice is there; I don't think anyone could ever take that from her. As long as we apply that voice to hit records, she'll be right back where she left off."
