Latest news, publicity, money, and ratings this week lead to one name: Larry King.
We cannot stop wondering what is really happening between Lary and his wife, Shawn.
As we know, they both had filed for divorce from one another, at the beginning of this story. Later on, allegations of infidelity and nasty spats were to be revealed in the press. Short time after, the couple was back together, postponing the divorce. They hoped they would be able to work things out somehow.
Lary King is up to his eighth divorce. As he has no pre-nup with Shawn Southwick, he is in the vulnerable position here, monetarily speaking. His fortune is estimated upwards of $150 million. We feel sorry for his bank account. There are lots of rumors and people speculating on King's idea of reconciliation.
"Larry insisted that Shawn turned him down on a pre-nup -- a decision he now regrets," a close person to the King situation told PopEater's Rob Shuter. "He is worth over $144 million and will do whatever he can to protect his money, even if that means remaining married."
King took a last moment decision. It seems he signed a post-nup. It was rather for showing his commitment to his wife. After all, Larry King agreed that Southwick should be entitled to half of his entire fortune. He even gave her three houses.
On the other hand, King's attorney, Dennis Wasser, says his client was influenced when Southwick "strong-armed" him into it.
With all these happening, everyone is wondering what is going on. There is too much confusion in this divorce. There are persons saying this could only be a strategy of publicity for both Kind and Southwick.
We cannot be sure of anything so far. What we are sure about is that King's ratings has dropped 44 percent at the beginning of this year. As for CNN's ratings, it seems the number of viewers jumped from 563,000 to 736,000, the moment King filed for divorce, according to TVbythenumbers.com, which tallies daily ratings for the cable news networks.by FW Editor |
