| Twilight sells highest in home videos in 2009 |

After it was released on home video on March 21, the movie "Twilight" has sold 5.6 million copies within 8 days, according to a report published in the Home Media Magazine.
On March 21, "Twilight" was released in Blu-ray Disc and DVD versions and it reached a sale of 3 million copies on the very first day of the release. Thus, it had become a top seller for the week ended March 22 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert chart. The Blu-ray version has sold around 160,000 copies and is available only in select stores which include Best Buy and Target Stores till May 5
To reach the top of the sales charts, "Twilight" has surpassed the sales of "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa". Like "Twilight", "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" was also released on home video. Since its release on February 6, "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" has sold around 5.3 million copies.
