Tobey Maguire Denies Illegal Poker Accusations

Tuesday, July 5 2011

Tobey Maguire is accused of winning over $300,000 in some illegal poker games ran by Bradley Ruderman. Bradley is well known for organizing illegal games and he served time in jail for organizing a Ponzi scheme. However, the famous actor has filed papers that insist he did nothing wrong.
Tobey Maguire says the poker games took place in controlled "environment" which obligated the host (aka Bradley Ruderman) to have a license.
According to the papers filed by the former Spider-Man, he attended various poker nights but he denies they were comprised of a "regular roster of players consisting of wealthy celebrities, entrepreneurs, attorneys and businessmen."
