The organizers of International Film Festival in Venice tells us "Black Swan" will be the movie that will open the 67th edition of the event. "Black Swan" is a highly acclaimed thriller signed by Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler).
The film has Natalie Portman in the role of a ballerina tormented to the limits of normality by the presence of her competitive rival (Mila Kunis) newly employed by the company they work for.
"Black Swan" will put an intense accent on duplicity, and the relatively poor ratio between pathology and normality, and the whole issue of identity.
In the movie we can also see Winona May Ryder and Vincent Cassel. The scenario was made by Mark Heyman, Andes Heinz and John McLaughlin.
We are also informed that "Black Swan" will compete for a Golden Lion (a trophy which Aronofsky won in May 2008 with the drama The Wrestler).by FW Editor |
