I am sure that many of you wonder about this. I will explain it to you.
Stephen Baldwin's fans set up a website seeking financial donations to aid him. So, the star became a charity case.
But is looks that he only had to face humiliation with all that "The Restoration of Stephen Baldwin" going on.
As we read in the site, Baldwin decided to become a born-again Christian in the early '00s. He soon became unemployable, as his religious views did not allow him to take jobs that featured sex or violence. Bankruptcy entered short time after.
His fans were there for him, ready to give him a hand. After all, Stephen Baldwin needs money. According to the site's Q&A, "without it "you are a loser". This is how fans entered the stage, in order help their idol to regain his "influence in Hollywood."
It looks that the brainchild of fans was not a success, neither for Baldwin's ego, nor for his wallet. After a few months of campaign, since January until now, the site has only got to $100. The tune was supposed to be of several million dollars. But, unfortunately for Baldwin, it all went wrong.
It is difficult to try to explain why people were not so into donation for this attempt at The Restoration of Stephen Baldwin.
The site asked each to donate only $4.21. But it looks that less than 20 people were there for the star for the past four months.
Of course, there are twp sides of the story. As we have seen one, we should now see the other side.
Stephen Baldwin seems not to be involved in this action that only insulted him, even if his spiritual advisor, Daniel Southern, who became the president of Stephen's ministries, gave written permission for this action to begin.
The owner of the site as well as the mastermind of all these is Lyn Fletcher, a Florida-based Christian businessman.
"Lyn wanted to generate a mass movement where people would help restore Stephen Baldwin financially," Southern tells E!News.
"The one misperception is that Stephen is out there with his hand out. That's not the case. This is someone else trying to bless Stephen. He felt compassion for Stephen's financial problems."
According to the site, Fletcher told he got the idea when seeing the public ridicule on Baldwin.
"A simple search through the internet will reveal that people not only mock Stephen, but mock God."
As we know, the Internet mocks everything and everyone. There is well known that Baldwin's run of bad publicity had started way before he went broke or changed his religious views.
