The Associated Press informs us that on Saturday, 6/12/2010, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston have demonstrated emotional side and charitable inclinations donating approximate amount of $ 10,000 to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund Foundation.
The two actors arrived in South Africa on Thursday, 06/10/2010, in order to attend at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Johannesburg and have used the time spent on the black continent to train disadvantaged children supported by the foundation in various enjoyable activities such as music and dance.
Kelly Preston who is 47 years old and John Travolta who is 56 years old and their daughter Ella Bleu who is 10 years old attended a concert of traditional drums and have been spoiled by African children with the poem "Eyes in the sky, foot on the ground " and the star of movies like " Pulp Fiction "," Michael "or" Old Dogs" has rewarded the little ones by teaching them some dance steps.
Dressed in a casual black jacket and a white shirt, John Travolta spoke about the importance of family life and how the children keep you humble, responsible and rooted in reality, also urging celebrities to use their privileged status to help promote the heritage of Nelson Mandela.
Nelson Mandela Children's Fund Foundation was established in 1995 by the first black president of South Africa in order to provide basic necessities for children of refugees and homeless children.by FW Editor |
