| Taylor Swift Donates Prom Dress to Charity |

Country singer Taylor Swift donated her prom dress to Hearst Magazines’ DonateMyDress.org. With the goal of helping girls give and in turn, find their dream dresses, the website joins local dress-drive organizations in America, making them the first national network to do so.
Swift explained why she gave her prom dress saying, “I chose to give away this prom dress because I wore it once and loved it! To keep it around, hanging there all by itself and lonely in my closet, never to be worn again seemed a little pointless. I want another girl somewhere to feel good in it and have a great prom night because of this dress.”
In DonateMyDress.org’s celebrity dress charity auction, Swift’s prom dress sold $1,200. Other celebrities who donated their dresses and clothes to auction are Demi Lovato, Nikki Blonsky, Eva Amurri, Miley Cyrus, among others.
