Steven Seagal sues the law firm Loeb and Loeb

Friday, January 29 2010

According to the lawsuit, the famous Hollywood actor Steven Seagal hired Loeb & Loeb in 2002 when he testified in a trial against his former business associate, Julius Nasso. Steven Seagal and Julius Nasso worked together during 1990s in producing a few movies. Apparently, Nasso tried to extort a large sum of money from these movies profit.

Loeb & Loeb charged the famous actor almost $1.1 millions according to court documents completed on Thursday. First, Steven Seagal paid around $500.000 but he became suspicious after that and he requested an audit to see why Loeb & Loeb asked such a large sum of money from him. According to this audit, Loeb & Loeb heavily overcharged Seagal without any legal reason.

According to the lawsuit, Steven Seagal is asking for at least $475.000 in general damages. However, Loeb & Loeb refused to pay and even more; they declared that Seagal still owns them $575.000.

Some important newspapers and magazines wanted to contact Loeb & Loeb representatives to clarify this situation. However, they refused any contact and they did not return any calls.
