According to a recently published article by Heat Vision, Alexander Scarsgard (especially known for playing the vampire Eric Produtos on HBO True Blood) was released alongside Taylor Kitsch in the grandeur-to-cover, Battleship. Although the film will adapt a game, we are informed that the script delivered by Jon and Erich Hoeber is basically about an alien invasion.
Sarsgard will play the brother of the character played by Kitsch, and will be, according to sources, a very brave and uncontrollable U.S. Navy officer.
Battleship will be directed by Peter Berg and will be released sometime in 2012. The folks at Universal have not yet set dates for production, but considering that the script, director, and actors are gathering at the moment, it is likely that in coming months to announce at least a release date.
It should be noted that Alexander Skarsgard was distributed in the new project of Lars von Trier, the apocalyptic Melancholia.by FW Editor |
