Friday, March 20 2009

by Kaustav Das Modak

Childhood friends and musicians Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel are joining up again for a tour across Australia and Asia. This will be the first major tour for the duo after their last tour named "Old Friends" in 2003-04.

Last month, the band had performed for at the Beacon Theatre, New York, and, shortly thereafter, new tour plans began to be chalked out. Presently, the information says that the folk rock artists will begin touring from the beginning of June in New Zealand. It is also being said that they may tour Japan and Australia as well.

It was the Jeff Kramer, Paul Simon's manager, who had stated in the February issue of Rolling Stone magazine that the band might set out on a tour.
