According to a poll conducted by AOL on the reality show American Idol, 49 percent of the
people voted that will not watch the show anymore if
href="http://people.famouswhy.com/simon_cowell/" target="_blank">Simon Cowell
does not stay as a judge any more. Another 32 percent expressed that they would watch the
show only after judging if the judge replacing Cowell is up to the mark.
This clearly expresses the amount of influence Cowell has over Idol, though is often scathed
for his harsh and too-straight-to-the-point comments about the participants. Recently,
Cowell has not been in favou of extending his contract with American Idol which will be
ending in 2010.
Among the total people who cast their vote in this poll, 70 percent said that American Idol
has become more interesting than ever before.
