Scarlett Johansson is replacing Angelina Jolie in Alfonso Cuaron's science fiction, 'Gravity'

Thursday, August 19 2010

According to an article published in the New York Daily, Scarlett Johansson was cast in the new sci-fi movie by Alfonso Cuaron, Gravity.

The movie will be produce by Warner Brothers. The actress supposed to have the lead role in the movie was Angelina Jolie, but she left the project when they came under the patronage of Gravity from Universal.

Scarlet Johansson will star opposite Robert. Dawney Jr. and this science fiction movie is about two astronauts who find themselves 'shipwrecked' outside the orbital station after a shower of solid particles dispersed by the explosion that seriously damages the station with a satellite due.

Gravity will be directed by Cuaron (Children of Men) from a screenplay he wrote with his son. The film goes into production at the end of this month.
