Parlux, the company that makes the alluring fragrances of Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson, told People.com that Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kanye West and another ‘well-established female artist’ have inked a deal with Jay-Z’s Iconic Fragrances.
Rihanna and Kanye are launching their respective signature scents in the summer of 2010 while Jay-Z and the unknown celebrity will follow a year after. Jay-Z said, “We are excited for the opportunity to partner with Parlux and their management team in the launch of these dynamic new brands.”
Neil Katz, Parlux CEO, announced, “We are extremely excited to begin work on our projects with Rihanna and Kanye West. Each is an extremely highly regarded celebrity at the top of his or her profession who is undoubtedly going to make an indelible impression in the fragrance industry, just as each has done in the entertainment world.”
The stars are reportedly not getting cash; instead they will be receiving payment in royalties, profit sharing and stocks.
