Recession is boosting videogames industry |

The recession is forcing people to stay back home by cutting on trips and travels. As a result, people are choosing home entertainment as a way to spend their time and the heat is upon the gaming industry.
IbisWorld, a industry research company, has said that the gaming industry is expected to attain $41.9 billion in 2009. Since 2004, it will rise over 55 percent to reach this growth this year.
According to Michael Cai of Interpret, the recession worldwide has not affected the sale of videogames. But, he says that if the gaming industry has to survive this challenge then they will have to come up with interesting content to fulfil the desire of the gamers.
