President Obama Praised By Laura Bush

President Obama Praised By Laura Bush

Wednesday, September 9 2009

In her recent interview on CNN, former U.S. First Lady Laura Bush said that she is disappointed to people who are calling President Barack Obama a "socialist." She also praised the performance of the chief executive so far.

"I think he is (doing a good job)," Bush noted. "I think he has got a lot on his plate, and he has tackled a lot to start with, and that has probably made it more difficult."

Talking about the controversial speech of Obama to schoolchildren on Tuesday, the wife of former President George W. Bush said it's "really important for everyone to respect the president of the United States." She went on, "I think there is a place for the president... to talk to schoolchildren and encourage" them.
