The Czech professional tennis player Petra Kvitova defeated her compatriot Lucie Safarova in two sets (7-6, 6-1) in a semifinal yesterday. It was the first Grand Slam semifinal between two Czech women
Kvitova will now face the canadian player Eugenie Bouchard who reached her first Wimbledon final with a 7-6, 6-2 victory over a hobbling Simona Halep.
The two players will meet on saturday. |
