Actress Penelope Cruz was not able to join Harvey Weinstein in promoting her upcoming musical film entitled Nine which will hit cinemas on November 25, 2009 due to "some sort of food poisoning."
Cruz first appeared in the premiere of her movie Broken Embraces in France but decided not to go to her other appointments because she fell ill. Weinstein announced the news to some journalists saying, "Tomorrow night is her premiere for her movie. She is getting better and is seeing a doctor right now."
After which, he introduced Marion Cotillard who is also part of the musical. He continued, "When you see (Cotillard) sing, when you see her dance, we bring back a tradition that we need to do more of."
