by Kaustav Das Modak

A new album of
target="_blank">Backstreet Boys
will soon be seen on the racks of music

stores. The album, titled "This Is Us", will be released on October 9. This will

be album number 9 in their discography.

The first single from the album, "Straight Through My Heart", is already being

heard on radio and also on the band's profile on MySpace. The album is made of 11

tracks in total.

While speaking to Billboard.com, group member Howie Dorough said that they to set

the effort as good as they can. "We've always been a pop/R&B group. We focus our

songs around good melodies and group harmonies, and hopefully that will have a

lot of staying power," he added.

Backstreet Boys will also begin a world tour starting in Singapore on September

27.
