Famous songstress Natalie Cole, who was diagnosed with hepatitis C a year ago, recently underwent kidney transplant in Los Angeles, California.
Her representative confirmed that the singer is already "resting comfortably." Her kidney problems erupted in the midst of her treatment for hepatitis C.
"The kidney came from a deceased organ donor through the regional organ procurement agency, One Legacy," her rep said.
Since September last year, Cole has endured kidney dialysis thrice a week. Besides, it was reported in February that she was hoping that her son Robert Adam Yancy, 31, could possibly be a donor match.
