Monstrous Mr. Hyde returns to the big screen as an anti-hero

Monday, August 2 2010

The Heat Vision inform us that producer Mark Gordon, together with those from Dark Horse Entertainment are preparing the movie The Strange Case of New Hyde.

The story will be inspired by the graphic novel written and illustrated by Cole Haddon. Unlike the Robert Louis Stevenson, The Strange Case of New Hyde is less a horror and more a thriller.

In other words, the character suffers a very unique change of plot, he becomes the anti-hero in a world threatened by a Victorian villain of historically validated.

The script will be written by Haddon himself. Our only hope is that this project will pass through hell and will finally arrive in theaters.

Last year I was informed that two filmmakers, Abel Ferrara and Nicolas Refn, are preparing to sign for the adaptation of Stevenson’ novel. Unfortunately, both projects were canceled for reasons unknown to us.
