Mel Gibson Visits Guatemala: He Spoke With Children Born With Deformities

Monday, June 13 2011

Mel Gibson
visits a hospital in Guatemala this week, and he spoke with several children born with deformities. The entire visit is part of his community service.
According to his publicist, Alan Nierob, the famous actor has been in the Central American nation for days working with Mending Kids International. Also, according to the same publicist, Mel Gibson is spending far more time in Guatemala than the 16 hours of community service because he wants to learn more about the problems people are facing in this region.
Gibson is an active member of this organization for years already. He specially requested to perform community service with Mending Kids International and the jury agreed to that.
In an interview, Gibson said he has been coming to Guatemala the past 15 years to support the charity.
