Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn told the people from Hero Complex that Christopher Nolan's Inception forced him to change the script for X-Men: First Class.
"I saw Inception and I loved it. But I was sad when I saw some new designed ideas already used. I had to choose between leaving them unchanged or modify them to keep the original story. I deleted about 12 pages of script. "
Vaughn said he hopes to succeed what JJ Abrams did with Star Trek:
"It's clear that Abrams has not pleased everyone, but he did a great job. He reinvented an entire universe and populated with interesting characters. I will try the same thing.
I will not reveal anything, but you can expect in terms of interpretation of recent historical events involving mutants. The story conceived by Bryan Singer is very, very smart. It's very fascinating to see how these characters integrated in the socio-historical reality. "
In X-Men: First Class are starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Alice Eve, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till and the Edi Gathegi.by FW Editor |
